Matt brings more than 20 years of hands-on field experience to every vault and monument setting Watts completes.

Matt oversees day-to-day plant operations, schedules crews and coordinates vault and monument setups. His two decades in the field help him guide crews through difficult weather, cemetery conditions and unexpected challenges.
His son, Jake, now works at the Montezuma location, building his own career much as Matt did. The sudden death of Matt’s father, Danny, also gave him a deeply personal understanding of the families Watts quietly serves at the cemetery.
Matt believes the family’s attention should remain on their loved one and their goodbye. His crew’s role is to have everything ready, support the service and step away quietly when the work is done.
Matt and his wife, Jennifer, have made their home in Brooklyn, Iowa, for nearly 17 years. He enjoys camping, fishing, sports and time with their children and granddaughters, Hattie and Sadie.
